The Handbook for the Model Railway in the Chapel at Alton Towers, closed in 1992

The first 19 scans here are of a rare circa 1960's handbook produced for the Model Railway attraction that was installed in the Alton Towers Chapel in 1957. The attraction closed in 1992. This guide gives a lot of information about what consisted of the railway at this point. As the guidebook states though, it was always being added to over the following years (it was being extended by 200 feet as this handbook was going into print apparently). More photo's follow this handbook, plus video footage of the Model Railway being built and in action.
